Are you interested in the great outdoors? Join Access Adventure—an Independence Advocates of Maine program that provides a number of exciting outdoor recreational opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. From kayaking and hiking, to ice fishing and snowshoeing—the Access Adventure activities are specifically designed to engage, teach and build self-confidence.
No experience is required! Our team of highly trained support staff and knowledgeable volunteer instructors offer these activities in a beginner friendly format, and use individualized adaptive equipment to ensure everyone’s safety. We can accommodate those with or without mobility limitations.
We individually design funding and personal support for Access Adventure based on one’s needs. To learn more about the program and how to sign up, please contact us today!
